Just Like Hemingway
Just like Hemingway. He showed me anyway. You can be a hero, all you have to know is what to say.
Unfortunately, I don’t always know what to say… but I do have a penchant for words and that’s why I was delighted to discover Hemingway in my family tree! He’s not in the direct line, but here’s how it goes… (right side one family and left side another)
Ralph Hemingway (1610-1678) + Elizabeth Hewes (1603-1686)

Joshua Hemingway (1643-1716) Samuel Hemingway (1636-1689)
+ Mary Evans (1657-1703) + Sarah Cooper (1645-1711)

Ebenezer Hemenway (1681-1753) Abraham Hemingway (1677-1752)
+ Hannah Winch (1689-1737) + Sarah Talmadge (1684-1714)

Elizabeth Hemenway (1727-1803) Abraham Hemingway (1727-1796)
+ Benjamin Robbins (1724-1793) + Mercy Tuttle (1730-1812)

Priscilla Robbins (1762-1840) Jacob Hemingway (1765-1838)
+ Stephen Perry (1763-1856) + Abigail Linsley (1767-?)

James Tufts Perry (1804-1890) Jacob Street Hemingway (1791-1863)
+ Amy Willis (1805-1873) + Lucretia Smith (1791-1850)

James M Perry (1838-1917) Allen Hemingway (1808-1886)
+ Alma Martin (1851-?) + Harriet Linsley (1820-1895)

Carl M Perry (1875-?) Anson Tyler Hemingway (1844-1926)
+ Alice Elvina Crossett (1882-1932) + Clarence Edmonds Hemingway (1871-1928)

Robert Allen Pery (1914-2006) – My grandfather Ernest Miller Hemingway (1899-1961)
So that would make my grandpa and him seventh cousins (if that’s how that works).
A reason to add more Hemingway to my reading list?
That is WAY too cool!
