Dale Chihuly Blown Glass Art in OKC

The OKC Art Museum is just wrapping up their Roman Art from the Louvre exhibition and my family and I made sure we cought it while it was in town.  While we found this to be interesting, what we all really enjoyed were the modern art collections that the museum houses, especially the Dale Chihuly blown glass art.

Here’s the towering piece they have in the lobby:

My eight year old daughter with an amazing eye for detail spotted this merman in the piece (I would have never caught it!):

I’ve always loved the works of Dale Chihuly (he’s one of my favorite artists, period), and I knew many were at the OKC museum, but it took this Roman Art exhibit coming through to finally get me to go check out this treasure sitting right in my back yard.
