Bill,

You can remove the p class="date" line and the date stuff in between, and then the end p statement on the pages that have dates (index.php, etc.), but it will leave a little white spot in that area.

Hi Asger,

As for #1, just change the icon.gif file in the img folder to any other image you like - something around 46x54 should work well, you might want to test the images and sizes you use. I should probably create a new more general theme based off of this one anyway (and use it here since I blog about everything under the sun and not just movies :) ).

As for #2, that would take a bit more work, especially if we're talking categories within categories - where in the theme would you like to see those, just above the posts? Let me know and I'll think about putting one together if I get the time.

Thanks!

Hi
Im making a website about design, architecture, city landscapes and visual art in Denmark, using your great WP-theme filmix. I´ve got two questions:

1. is it possible to change the date indicator with the film strip, to something more neutral like a 1 px white border around the date. My blog is not about movies or video, so it simply just dont fit in?

2. Is it possible to make top dropdown menues, with cathegories?

Hope you can help?

Keep up the good work
Best wishes

Jennifer,

just found the theme, looks great, but I would like to remove the date stamp on the posts, but leave the flipclip image, is there an easy way to do that? Not much of a coder, I know it's in there somewhere. ;-)

Thanks for a great theme, the color scheme fits in with a new service I have added.

Hi GC, I'm sorry I haven't used Fetch before, but the majority of styling is done in the CSS file.

If you want to add the extras to the top header area, you would need to edit the header.php file.

Hope that helps a little.

Hey I love your theme and it works great for my blog, but is there a quick fix to have the custom header be clickable to take you to the homepage? I know HTML and I'm an engineer and I should know, but it's been a while since I've messed with HTML.

Thanks for your help!

Since I am still waiting, I would like to post some other questions.

1. Your demo shows a photo at the top, with placeholder text. I want to begin my blog the same way, but image that comes up, starts with the posts. How do I implement your style?

2. I also want to insert two small boxes of type -- one for a single PDF download, and one for a 5 star ranking. How can I create and place such small items?

Thanks

Following Rick's question, I too have already loaded my own custom header (took the image jpg into photoshop and made the changes and uploaded the new version), but using Fetch as my FTP program (which is supposed to allow editing), I can "veiw" the file, with all of the text, but when I try to open it in "edit" mode, it is blank. When I open the others in "edit" mode, I see all the text. Why? How do I work around that?

During development, the site is offline, but I can send you the address if you need it.

Since I am awaiting the moderator, let me add to my post.

I am a graphic artist, quite fluent in photoshop, indesign, etc. Is there a graphic software that I can use to open the screen and make the design changes that I want? (I know it is composed of html or xml, which I somewhat know, but I can do so much more and so much faster in the GUI).

Where do I find instructions on customizing the design/layout, or do I have to do the questions one at a time?

I am impressed with your filmx theme as well, and I have looked at hundreds of themes, thanks for releasing this!

I do think it would be a bit better if there was option for pulling it to 1024 width, and 1152 width would be great or if it was possible to make it fluid that would be awesome.

I guess I will look into your css and see if I can find all the widths to adjust manually and see how bad I screw it up - lol

Thanks for designing this - it is perfect for one of my friend's new blog projects about movie trivia.
