I had the great pleasure of seeing a Pixies reunion tour, and was disarmed of any preconceived notions that the show might be a little less than exciting by virtue of being a reunion show with the first song. They rocked like it was 1989!

First they did a B-sides set, followed by the entire Doolittle album. As fantastic as these were, the encore, with “Caribou,” “Gigantic,” “Vamos,” and “Where is My Mind,” is what really rocked my socks off!

Here are some shots I got, and considering that I was really far back, I was quite happy with them!

2009 Disneyland Vacation Part II – It’s a Small World!

It's a world of laughter a world of tears...

Part I covered our first morning in Disneyland and Part II picks up at Small World – which was one of my very favorite rides – it was beautiful!! As you will see here, I went crazy with the pictures, and even got a video of the entire wonderful ride!

This is a culmination of Small World pictures from March 17th and 18th, from the entrance to every painstaking detail I could get a shot of inside the ride. I rode this several times – once videotaping the entire way, once or twice taking pictures the whole way through, and a couple times simply sitting back and enjoying the ride.

Our Spring 2009 Disneyland Vacation Part I – Discovering Disney & Tomorrowland

This Spring my daughter, sister in law, and I went to Disneyland – the weather was perfecto and we got to ride just about everything numerous times. Since I haven’t managed to turn these digital photos of our Disneyland trip into physical photos, I thought I was high time I displayed them somewhere other than just on my hard drive. So without further ado – here are the vacation photos from our spring trip to Disneyland (and my daughter’s first trip to Disneyland)!

2009 Sugar Art Show

Now that I have the proper content width for displaying photos, I thought it was high time I posted some of the best photos (and some of the best times!) from this year here. These photos of numerous cute and amazing cakes were all taken at the Sugar Art Show – the largest competition of its kind – at the Tulsa State Fair this year. These were my favorites:

From "Fables, Fantasy, and Fairy Tales. Once Upon a Time..."

My sister and I went downtown (Tulsa) for the night to try out the new restaurant “Yokozuna” next to Dwelling Spaces (one home of the uber-trendy ‘Don’t Hate the 918″ shirts), and to check out the Ihloff Salon fall fashion show to benefit the Resonance Center for Women.

Yokozuna was all right and I’ll be writing more about it on Tasty Tulsa soon, but to sum it up, the pinot noir was fantastic (never caught the brand), the spring rolls were very good, but the noodle bowls were very bland (until we fixed them up ourselves).

Afterwards, we headed over to the fashion show which was simply a lot of fun with the ‘Fables, Fantasy, and Fairy Tales’ theme – I really enjoyed taking these (many) pictures!

Our daughter got to ride in the St. Stephen’s float in the B. A. Christmas parade this year and my husband got this awesome shot:
