This past week I’ve had a ton of theme ideas and have really enjoyed making the ones I’ve had time to do - in fact, I think I may shift gears and work on design more than anything else for a while because I do enjoy it so much.

I also want the themes on this site to be fully tested and high quality, so I plan on deleting some of the older ones because I don’t really like them enough to redesign them for the latest version of WP and I’d rather work on new ideas.

I’m especially excited now because WordPress.org has accepted one of my themes! So I submitted two more this morning and will continue to try to make interesting, free themes both for this site and for Savvy Web Design, where I post niche themes for more business-type sites.

New Doggie Theme

I made a new doggie theme very similar to the tiki theme – it’s retro, colorful, widget-ready, Adsense-ready, supports gravatars, and has header options. I’ve also got this one up at Savvy Web Design if you want to grab it: “Pug Time” dog WordPress theme.

OK, this is probably my favorite theme I’ve done yet, and I plan on getting it ready to submit to WordPress and I also plan on posting a demo & download here, but for now, you can get the Tiki Time WordPress theme at Savvy Web Design.

All graphics on these new themes were done by me, I’m forcing myself to do every icon, etc., instead of using stock images to get the practice and to make these 100% unique. Working on a doggie one right now – it’s proving to be a bit more challenging than the tiki bird in this one!
