It has the nifty featured section – just label a category as “Featured” to have it automagically show up in the sidebar. I have used the Thumbnail for Excerpts WP plugin to get the images to show up in the featured posts (though the word wrap isn’t not quite right in Safari). Or just remove the ‘featured’ code section in the sidebar if you don’t want this.

(It DID have a featured section, however it doesn’t work with the latest version of WP :( )
