Calendars of the centers for the elderly | Lake County Chief

Polson

The Polson Senior Center, 504 Third Ave. E., is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center will be closed on November 25 and 26.

Individuals and small organized groups are welcome to use the facility. We have a library area and puzzle table available in the main lobby, and a semi-private area available by reservation only. Use by non-members is available. We ask for a voluntary donation of $ 15 per year for the regular use of the facility.

Activities

Monday, November 29: Baily Insurance presentation on changes to Medicare, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Exercise classes: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Mahjong: 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Pinochle: 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Walk-ins and new players are always welcome.

Bingo: Fridays at 7 p.m.

See’s Famous Old Time Candies gift sets are available again this year. The cost is $ 23 per box. Three choices are available: brittle peanuts, nuts and chew and assorted chocolates (milk or dark).

Those wishing to organize additional regular activities at the Center are welcome. Call 406-883-4735 for details. A semi-private meeting room is available.

Meal

Lunch is served at the Center, to take away or delivered to your home, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. If you are a new customer, call 406-883-4735 for information on payment terms. Meals cost $ 5.

Wednesday November 24: Swedish meatballs, whipped potatoes, creamed peas, five cup salad, gingerbread with lemon sauce.

Thursday November 25: No meal. The Center is closed.

Friday November 26: No meal. The Center is closed.

Monday November 29: Vegetable soup, banana bread and green salad.

Tuesday, November 30: Alice’s casserole rice, macaroni salad and chocolate cake.

Wednesday December 1: Goulash, garlic bread, corn, green salad and poke cake.

Thursday December 2: pork tip and sauce, carrots, spicy coleslaw and apple sauce cake.

Friday December 3: Beef stew, bun, pear and cheese salad and crispy chocolate bars.

Dixon

The Dixon Senior Center continues to serve our community and hope everyone stays happy and healthy. Everyone is welcome to come for dinner, breakfast and / or pinochle. We also accept take-out requests. Meals will be served at 5 p.m. on Monday and Thursday. Meals cost $ 4 per serving and are available to Dixon residents upon request.

Activities

Pinochle takes place every fourth Monday of the month. The next game will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on December 27.

Meal

Thursday, November 25: No meals – Thanksgiving vacation.

Monday November 29: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salad, rolls and dessert.

Thursday December 2: Hamburger casserole, vegetables, rolls and dessert.
