EY has appointed Gaurav Modi as Consulting Leader for Singapore and ASEAN, the professional services giant responding to growing demand for business transformation expertise.
Effective July 1, Singapore-based Modi is responsible for providing “strategic leadership” to the consulting services division, covering business and technology consulting as well as people consulting services. In this context, Modi will be responsible for business performance, customer service and talent development across the region.
EY’s global advisory services unit in ASEAN has more than 100 partners and approximately 3,000 employees across EY member firms in 14 geographies.
“Gaurav is an accomplished and distinctive leader who combines both outstanding credentials and extensive experience, and demonstrates strong alignment with our culture and values,” said Liew Nam Soon, ASEAN Managing Partner at EY. “He brings the ideal experience of leadership capability and consulting expertise to help our clients with their business transformation needs.”
Over the past few years, Nam Soon said EY Consulting’s services have “developed rapidly”, particularly in the areas of technology, digital, innovation, analytics and cybersecurity.

With 22 years of consulting experience and business development capability, Modi joins EY from Capgemini after serving as Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Southeast Asia, while simultaneously leading the telecommunications sector in Asia-Pacific and Japan.
