BUFFALO, NY – NYS Assembly Majority Leader Crystal D. Peoples-Stokes on Saturday announced that she supports Mayor Byron Brown.

Peoples-Stokes encourages residents to put Mayor Byron Brown on the ballot for his re-election.

In a press release, Peoples-Stokes described the progress being made across the city under the leadership of Mayor Byron Brown.

“Mayor Brown has hired the most diverse workforce in the history of the City of Buffalo. His reliable and experienced leadership and management in municipal government has always promoted the concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion to increase the chances of success for every resident. “Peoples-Stokes said in a statement.

Peoples-Stokes said so many opportunities have been created for Buffalo youth under the leadership of Mayor Byron Brown, citing increased support for public schools, its summer reading program, and internship and job opportunities summer for young people.

“Mayor Byron Brown has kept Buffalo affordable, reducing residential property tax rates in Buffalo by 16%, making homeownership easier for families. Buffalo, community centers, cultural institutions and our parks, ”said Peoples-Stokes. “Its commitment to replacing old lead lines has increased the availability of healthy, affordable housing that Buffalo will need to serve our growing population in the future.

Peoples-Stokes said: “Most importantly, we have worked together for over 25 years. I know his heart and his passion for every member of our community. mayor, he has never stopped working hard and striving to do his best to improve the lives of all residents of the city of Buffalo ”.

Early voting will begin on Saturday, October 23, and polling day is Tuesday, November 2.
