The RHYL & Distrcit RFC youth team welcomed Denbigh to play in the spotlight at Tynewydd Field.
The Friday night games are proving popular with a large crowd again present to enjoy the evening entertainment.
Rhyl’s youngsters were given new training highs by team sponsor NWPS Construction Ltd ahead of the match.

Once the match started, both teams showed their intentions, with defenses having to hold on.
Number eight Rhyl Paddy Nelson had many powerful runs in Denbigh’s defense which led to Jack Walsh crossing for a try.
Denbigh fired back and a successful penalty reduced the lead to 5-3.
Tom Jones added a penalty to bring Rhyl to the break leading 8-3.
The second half was well balanced again and even after Paddy Nelson was knocked out for 10 minutes Denbigh was unable to break through Rhyl’s lines.
In the final 10 minutes of the game, Tom Jones spotted a gap and sprinted to land under the posts. He converted that for the extra 2 points.
Rhyl aptly won the match 15-3 and recorded his first victory there this season. The result will encourage them for the next matches.
